Why did you decide to study in Japan?
I was working as a lawyer in Brazil, but I was interested in Jappanese law, and I wanted to work with Japanese corporations in Brazil in the future. For that reason, I decided to study in Japan in order to study the Japanese language more.
How is your life in Japan?
My life in Japan is very busy and yet very enjoyable. I met people from different countries at the Japanese language school and university. I am glad that I have been able to learn different cultures. Being able to speak Japanese would have make things easier, but I didn’t have many difficulties because a lot of people speak English especially in Tokyo. However, I am not good at Chinese characters, and I regret that I didn’t study them more before coming to Japan, because it is required to read a lot of Japanese books for classes. I miss my family, but I have NFSA friends who always support me and have good times together with.

I think there are many things that can be learned only in Japan. In my case, people around me tried to stop me when I decided to suspend my career as a lawyer and study in Japan, but I have no regrets whatsoever, because coming to Japan has expanded my possibilities. I think that the experiences in Japan helped me grow not only as a professional but also as a person. Let’s study in Japan together!
